2 Simple Techniques to reach your Goal!

We all talk about the importance of having Goals in some or the other point in our lives, we feel motivated after talking about it or may be after listening to a motivational speech or watching an inspiring movie but what happens after some times, the balloon which was full of energy and enthusiasm starts deflating. Right?

So what’s the use of making concrete Goals if we can’t stay motivated? Today I’m going to give you two strongest techniques which helped thousands of people across the world to realize their Goals, which kept them moving, running towards their Goals until reached. I call this technique “RV” – Reminding and Visualizing…

But before we move ahead, I would like to tell that there is a prerequisite for this technique and that is strong urge or willingness to reach your Goal.

Let’s talk about “R” i.e. Reminding.

If I ask you names of five soaps or shampoos, you would generally give most famous names irrespective of quality or other criteria because these are the names you have mostly heard or seen in advertisements may be 10 times a day or 20 times a day or less or more. Am I right?

So what all these marketing companies are doing…They are just reminding you again and again about their products…they use creative ads, catchy songs or symbols which stays in your mind longer and you feel trying their products and finally end up buying them.

So the term “Reminding” suggests to make your own advertisement for yourself to keep your Goal in your mind all the time. So what we need to do is we just need to write a short name for our Goal or we may try to give it a code name just to make it understandable for you only and paste these small chits in all the places where you frequently visit or the things you use. Like in your washroom, in your almirah, in your Bag, on your Pen too…Just find your own creative ways to keep it in front of your eyes and I’m telling you it will be in your mind after few days.

Did it ever happened with you ever that if you listen to a song in the morning, it stays with you the whole day and you keep on singing it involuntary..Right? So we also need to do the same with our Goal, Just give 2 minutes in the morning to remind about your Goal. Think…..how far you have come….congratulate yourself…say thanks to God and try to see what you need to do today to get closer to your dream and I’m sure this thought will stay with you the whole day involuntary.

Now let’s talk about the second important alphabet “V” i.e. “Visualization” or you may say “Day-dreaming”.

Day dreaming is the key to success…I strongly believe in it as my life is nothing more than what I always dreamed of so now I have started dreaming more and more. So, now I’m more focused and choosy on what I really want…Some of you might not believe this statement, In fact this particular post is especially for all those people who says that day-dreaming is a waste of time.

I believe that whatever you want to become in your life…you’ll first have to first Dream about it!

“Everything you can imagine is real.” – Pablo Picasso

Visualization is nothing but simply a mental rehearsal. You create images in your mind of your having or doing whatever it is you want. You repeat these images over and over again.

Have you ever thought that whenever you sleep in bad mood or negative feelings, next morning you again feel negative or frustrated because your subconscious mind is working 24/7. So do not let negative thoughts spoils your life. Think positive in the night and push snooze button before you get up in the morning to keep your eyes close and visualize how you will spend your entire day. It will give you the positivity and energy that will keep you moving the whole day cheerfully.

Our mind is a strong tool so we should always choose about what we think and what we see…what kind of images we create in our mind.

One of the greatest exponents of visualization, who coincidentally was known as The Greatest, was Muhammad Ali, the former World Heavyweight Boxing champion. Ali called this visualization ‘future history’. He said: ‘The man with no imagination has no wings.’ He always rehearsed the fight in his head, over and over, before he ever stepped into the ring. Before a fight, Ali would focus intensely on visualizing how he will take on his opponent in the ring move by move, round by round. When Ali is clear how he would defeat his opponent, he would call a press conference and confidently announce in which round and how he would win the fight. Ali’s predictions were no empty boats as they invariably come true.

That’s one of the reasons why out of the 19 fights in which he predicted the outcome, 17 happened exactly the way Ali said they would with him winning.

In your five-minute practice, you use your imagination to see yourself being successful, closing the deal, having the relationship, healing the illness—whatever the goal is that you wish to manifest. The key to remember when visualizing is to always visualize that you already have the thing you want. This is a mental trick. You don’t hope you’ll achieve it, or build confidence that some day it will happen. No, with the visualization technique you “live and feel it” as if it is happening to you now. Now on one level you know this is just a mental trick, but here is an important truth to understand. The subconscious mind cannot distinguish between what is real and what is imagined. Your subconscious will act upon the images you create within, regardless of whether those images reflect your current reality or not.

“Champions aren’t made in gyms. Champions are made from something deep inside them: a desire, a dream, a vision.”- Muhammad Ali

Keep Reminding…Keep Visualising

Broaden your vision- Broaden your Horizon!

Sabse Pehle Mere Ghar ka
Anddey jaisa tha aakaar;
Tab main yahi samajhti thi Bus itna sa hi hai sansaar!

Phir mera ghar bana ghonsla,
Sookhe tinkon se tayyar
Tab main yahi samajhti thi Bus itna sa hi hai sansaar.

Phir main nikal padi shaakho par,
Hari bhari thi jo sukumar;
Tab main yahi samajhti thi Bus itna sa hi hai sansaar.

Aakhir jab main aasmaan mein,
Udi door tak pankh pasaar
Tabhi samajh mein meri aaya….Bahut bada hai yeh sansaar!

Bahut bada hai yeh sansaar!

This poem I heard in my early school days like many other Indian students but I could understand the real meaning don’t know how many years later, but since I understand…I appreciated and accepted the fact that unless we see beyond our limitations, our mind will never be able to open & develop creative thoughts, newness will never come and finally we stagnate..

The difference between stupidity and genius is that genius has its limits. – Albert Einstein

Do you think you’re Beautiful?

Do you think you’re Beautiful?

If yes…You may be right?

Do you Believe you’re Beautiful?   You Are Absolutely RIGHT!!

You must be thinking that what’s the difference between above two statements? Believe me…there is!

Thinking might be little weak, you may say you’re beautiful just to say, just to keep your inner quarrel quite…just to show you think positive.

But believing is something wheres it does not matter for you what others are thinking about you, Believe is a deep phenomenon where you know you’re beautiful. You are thankful the way you are. Your outer beauty may not be comparable to some beauty pageant but your inner self is strong, positive, kind, motivated, full of energy and enthusiasm, you believe in equality, you believe in helping others, you believe in yourself no matter from where you come, what’s your caste, religion, country…

“Nobody should be judged on their looks. Beauty is not found on the body but in the soul. The only thing the media has done is change the definition of the word. I mean being attractive may make it easier to catch some one but being kind and loving is how you keep some one. Also with make up its like putting on a mask some masks are creative and fun most others are just used to cover who you really are up. Be yourself.”
― Danyon Guthrie-lewis

Let me tell you a story about the most beautiful Girl I have got to see ever….Her name is Lizzie Velasquez.

Yes, she’s the most beautiful person, I have ever seen. You must be staring at her..Don’t stare..Learn. That’s her punch-line.

Born with a medical condition so rare that just two other people in the world are thought to have it, Velasquez has no adipose tissue and cannot create muscle, store energy, or gain weight. She has zero percent body fat and weighs just 60 pounds.

Velasquez was born in San Antonio, Texas; she was four weeks premature and weighed just 2 pounds, 10 ounces. “They told us they had no idea how she could have survived,” her mother, Rita, 45, told the Daily Mail. “We had to buy doll’s clothes from the toy store because baby clothes were too big.” Doctors warned Rita and her husband, Lupe, that their oldest child would never be able to walk or talk, let alone live a normal life. (Her two younger siblings were not affected by the syndrome.)

Instead, she has thrived. Her internal organs, brain, and bones developed normally, though her body is tiny. Since she has no fatty tissue in which to store nutrients, she has to eat every 15 to 20 minutes to have enough energy to get through the day. One brown eye started clouding over when she was 4 years old, and now she’s blind in that eye and has only limited sight in the other.

When she was in high school, Lizzie Velasquez was dubbed “The World’s Ugliest Woman” in an 8-second-long YouTube video.

In the comments on YouTube, viewers called her “it” and “monster” and encouraged her to kill herself. Instead, Velasquez set four goals: To become a motivational speaker, to publish a book, to graduate college, and to build a family and a career for herself.

Now 23 years old, she’s been a motivational speaker for seven years and has given more than 200 workshops on embracing uniqueness, dealing with bullies, and overcoming obstacles. She’s a senior majoring in Communications at Texas State University in San Marcos, where she lives with her best friend. Her first book, “Lizzie Beautiful,” came out in 2010 and her second, “Be Beautiful, Be You,” was published earlier this month.

“Some days life doesn’t make sense,” she writes in “Be Beautiful, Be You.” “You just have to change what you can, ask for help and pray about the rest.”

She notes her triumphs and posts inspirational messages on Tumblr, and says that she’s learned to embrace the things that make her unique. Instead of trying to retaliate against people who have made her feel badly, she sets goals for herself and pushes herself to succeed in spite of the haters. She’s even reclaimed YouTube, video blogging about everything from bullying to hair-styling tips to staying positive.

“I feel really glad that I don’t look like the celebrities out there that are so beautiful,” she told Dr. Drew. “There’s a lot of stereotypes attached to that.” Not looking like a supermodel “gives people the opportunity to know you personally,” she explains. “If they’re willing to take that extra step they’ll get to know the person you really are.”

Of course, the horrible comments left on that old YouTube video stung (the video has since been removed, but Velasquez says she read every single comment). Now, she says, she understands that they’re “just words.”

“I’m human, and of course these things are going to hurt,” she said. “Their judgements of me isn’t who I am, and I’m not going to let these things define me.”

“I didn’t sink down to their level,” she said in a follow-up video on YouTube last year. “Instead, I got my revenge through my accomplishments and determination. In the battle between the ‘World’s Ugliest Woman’ video vs. me, I think I won.”

Yes Lizzie you’re a winner! Isn’t it??

Isn’t she beautiful? Is beauty all about looking attractive. The best way to find your inner beauty is to love and be comfortable in your own skin.

Beauty means accepting yourself and being thankful to God for what you are. So let’s be thankful for all the beauty you have. Thank you God!

Stay Beautiful….Stay Thankful,

I’m not saying if I’m Right or Wrong but what I know about myself is that I’m Different from the crowd, I’m fearless, I’m strong, I’m content of what I am.

I’m an individualistic Person, I’m what I am and I completely respect myself.

You must be thinking that what I’m trying to prove here in this post, why should anybody be interested in me. If you’re thinking so, You’re absolutely right. It’s just not about me, Its about so many other people who are considered as an Atheist just because they are not stereotyped, they walk different from the crowd.

May be because they do not spend hours standing in front of the stone idols, they do not keep fast, they do not  visit temple, Gurudwara, mosque or churches, they do not believe in days when you cannot eat non-vegetarian food whereas other days you’re free to eat as much as you wish, may be because they do not keep on chanting some or the other mantra…. Are all the people doing above stated are THEIST…are they Right…??

I never understood this concept of not eating non-vegetarian food on Tuesday but you may eat whatever on Wednesday…Since I can recall my childhood, I could never digest this phenomenon. I tried several times to follow what my elders were following, like chanting mantra, lighting incense, keeping fasts but didn’t feel doing it right when my soul is on some other planet.

A man’s ethical behavior should be based effectually on sympathy, education, and social ties; no religious basis is necessary. Man would indeed be in a poor way if he had to be restrained by fear of punishment and hope of reward after death – Albert Einstein

I’m not saying that doing all that is wrong but what’s the use when you do that just to please others, you are doing that just to show that you are a strong believer of God.

I say that I’m a hugely Strong believer of God no matter if I follow the rules shown by my elders or not . I believe in Kindness, I believe in sharing, I believe in spreading smiles, empowering people and helping poor. My prayer is done if I made someone laughed, If I spent entire day thinking about how I can make others feel special.

I speak to God everyday and he answers all my questions….Whenever there comes a problem in my life, there comes a solution as well. I can listen to that sacred voice, I do not need any one’s advice as God is my advisor.

If I don’t believe in something that is “Religion” as it just divides people. Religion does three things quite effectively: Divides people, Controls people, Deludes people. My religion is my Karma. I believe in reaping what you sow. I love God.

“If god doesn’t like the way I live, Let him tell me, not you.”

Keep loving yourself….keep loving God

You can make a difference….Start with yourself!

“One is not born into the world to do everything but to do something.” ― Henry David Thoreau

For a moment….Live for others…Feel what others are feeling…see how they see the world…eat what they are eating…

We all have something what others don’t have..sharing that “something” is what I mean here in this post. You may not have money to share…you may not have home to share…you may not have food to share but you may have non-materialistic things for surely to share..if you wishes to. If you have knowledge…share this, If you have spirituality…share this..If you wisdom….help others.

“This life is for loving, sharing, learning, smiling, caring, forgiving, laughing, hugging, helping, dancing, wondering, healing, and even more loving. I choose to live life this way. I want to live my life in such a way that when I get out of bed in the morning, the devil says, ‘aw shit, he’s up!”  ― Steve Maraboli

When you share what you have..when you offer help…when you save others….It makes a difference. If not on the entire world, It makes a difference at least in the life of that particular individual. Let me tell you a story here, which you might have heard before but I could not resist myself by reinstating it in my post-

Once upon a time, there was an old man who used to go to the ocean to do his writing. He had a habit of walking on the beach every morning before he began his work. Early one morning, he was walking along the shore after a big storm had passed and found the vast beach littered with starfish as far as the eye could see, stretching in both directions.

Off in the distance, the old man noticed a small boy approaching.  As the boy walked, he paused every so often and as he grew closer, the man could see that he was occasionally bending down to pick up an object and throw it into the sea.  The boy came closer still and the man called out, ”Good morning!  May I ask what it is that you are doing?”

The young boy paused, looked up, and replied “Throwing starfish into the ocean. The tide has washed them up onto the beach and they can’t return to the sea by themselves,” the youth replied. “When the sun gets high, they will die, unless I throw them back into the water.”

The old man replied, “But there must be tens of thousands of starfish on this beach. I’m afraid you won’t really be able to make much of a difference.”

The boy bent down, picked up yet another starfish and threw it as far as he could into the ocean. Then he turned, smiled and said, “It made a difference to that one!” – adapted from The Star Throwerby Loren Eiseley (1907 – 1977)

So we all have opportunities to make a positive change in some or the other way, it keeps coming in front of us, the need is to take charge of things and start with ourselves and our surroundings.

Find someone that needs a smile, and give them that smile, once a day for the rest of your life and like a ripple in a pond it will be carried onwards. ~SoulLife Searcher

Keep Sharing…Keep Smiling 🙂

Think Beyond your Limitations!

It is very common when we tell ourselves “what we cannot do”…”what cannot happen”….”What is impossible”…But have you ever noticed that the word impossible itself says ” I M Possible”. Things are impossible only as long as we think they are.

Why do you think that ways..why do we limit ourselves…May be because we were grown like this…may be our Grand-parents, parents, friends told this to us many times….intentionally or unintentionally they all were lying….You can do everything that you desire….you just need to broaden your thinking…your imagination…your dreams and desires. THINK BIG….

Crystallize your goals. Make a plan for achieving them and set yourself a deadline. Then, with supreme confidence, determination and disregard for obstacles and other people’s criticisms, carry out your plan.

Ø You will have challenges
Ø You will have roadblocks
Ø You can have excuses or success but not both
But think beyond this…make plan to work on your limitations…Go slow…Take risks but on your own!
Remember that “The boiling point is only 1 degree different than very warm water.”
BUT The difference is tremendous.  Steam can power many things.

Visualize as if you have achieved your goal! Don’t forget “Purpose is what gives life a meaning”

Review your goals twice every day in order to be focused on achieving them. People with clear, written goals, accomplish far more in a shorter period of time than people without them could ever imagine.

Most importantly…Strongly believe that “You can Achieve your Goals” no matter who you are!

Stay Focused…Dream Big
